Exitotoxins: The Chemicals That Kill
How food companies have found the substances that stimulate hunger and disrupt normal appetite control but have severely detrimental effects on our health.
Most of us that have been connected to the Internet and have had email access for some time have eventually been sent some article on Aspartame, and the dangers it poses to our health.
While I've always known Aspartame and flavorings like MSG were to be avoided, most of the information out didn't have much science to back up the scary statements. Fortunately, Dr. Russell Blaylock, MD, has written an extremely clear book on the entire genre of these flavor enhancers, called exitotoxins.
Even better, he was recently interviewed by Mike Adams, who runs the impeccable health research site called News Target. Mike put the inteview into a free download e-book PDF, which you can find here:

This is a must read document. Many How Health Works members often are not getting the results they're looking for, and it's because these exitotoxins are still finding a way into their food choices. Many foods, even in health food stores, contains these "exite-o-toxins." Look for ones that say yeast extract, hydrolyzed, autolyze, daspartame or monosodium glutamate. They're found in foods like:
- Diet soda
- “Sugar-free” drinks and sweets
- Canned soups
- Frozen pizza
- Vegetarian foods, including veggie burgers
- Snack chips
- Diabetic foods
- Salad dressing
- Breakfast sausage
- Beef jerky and chicken strips
- Frozen foods, even “natural” ones
- Instant dinner mixes
- Baby food
- Ranch-flavored dips and sauces
- Gravy mixes and dip mixes
- Bullion cubes and flavor packets
- … and hundreds of other grocery products and restaurant foods.
Dr. Russell Blaylock explains, these excitotoxin ingredients are known to promote:
- Migraines
- Seizures
- Neurological disorders
- Blurred vision
- Increased appetite / overeating
- Infertility and reproductive disorders
- Impaired brain function
- Cancer / brain tumors
- Heart damage and cardiovascular harm
- Endocrine system damage (affecting hormones)
Mike Adams has done us all a favor by interviewing Dr. Blaylock, and offering to the public. One of my favorite quotes in his interview is:
"You're not going to criticize milk, or these other food-based problems in
the media, because they are smart enough to advertise in newspapers,
magazines, health magazines and journals. They have all the media outlets
covered. The only place that they don't have covered is talk radio and the
internet. The health blogs can tell the truth."
Be sure you download the free interview. Again, the link is here.
