I bought the Super Angel juicer for my May 1 cleanse.
The wheat grass shots are a hassle in that you have to pull out that
heavy juicer for just a little grass and then clean everything up ....for the second time that day.
Is it reasonable to buy just a wheatgrass juicer? If so, does anyone have
a recommendation? |

I don't plan on getting a juicer.
I use the Vitamix - started using it in the last three years to make smoothies and soups and juices.
I plan to use it for the duration of the cleanse and beyond.
Wheat grass juice recipes on the vita mix website.

I have two Vita Mix Machines - One at home and one at work. Which makes it more convenient.
It's an option to consider. |

We're here to help each other through -
My friend at work is a juicer - she advised that yes, you will get the nutrients of the wheat grass in the vita mix - but that it does taste different - and that the wheatgrass juicer masticates the wheatgrass so you get a 'mainline' shot of the vitamins (her words)
I am on a budget so would really like to keep costs down for now - perhaps a juicer on down the road will be what convinces me that having one is worth the investment - I've asked for one on the local 'freecycle', perhaps I'll get lucky and receive one. They I'll be able to compare them and praise the virtues of doing the wheatgrass up in one machine and the other.
Keep me posted on your progress! |

| It would be nice if there were more contributors to the forum here - more people who have experience they are willing to share. I'd like to see what others have to say about wheat grass juicers - preferences, pros/cons, clean up times, etc. Where's everybody gone to? |

The taste of freshly juiced wheatgrass is remarkably different than juice that's been stored for a few days in the fridge.
Juiced wheatgrass also tastes very different than wheat grass added to a vitamix produced juice/smoothie. (Adding grass and all to the pitcher then pulverizing the mixture of grass and water on high)
Our health food store also carries frozen wheat grass cubes. I bought some to try, thought I plan to first finish the batch of fresh that I purchased.
I'm not yet ready to purchase a wheat grass juicer, but I can now appreciate the benefit of drinking wheat grass from the juicer. |
