Having done the liver cleanse last June with amazing results, I decided to do a year-end cleanse. In reviewing the e-book on liver cleansing I noticed something I had forgotten (or overlooked) during the last cleanse: "You will need to total 2000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies..."
Mild redness in my face, a mysterious patch of psoriasis on my lower calf and a constant "semi-clogged sinus" feeling have me convinced that my liver is toxic. There are a few others, but those are my main three indicators.
Because most of my symptoms have been mild and have felt more cosmetic then health oriented I have lived with them for several years. And although I am against any prescription drugs I also wasn't really doing anything to really heal myself.
That all said, I have decided to do the "2010 Liver-Cleanse-a-Thon"... I am going to do a liver cleanse every 2-3 weeks until I rid my liver of 2010 stones. I have allowed myself to get a head start and just completed my 1st official cleanse in my "Cleanse-a-Thon". I am proud to announce that I passed 105 stones and already 5% of the way there.
I have no idea how long this will take, but I invite and challenge everyone to participate and let's see if we can create awareness for importance of a clean liver. Where else can you get such a quick, inexpensive and highly effective treatment for such a complex organ?
I stuck with the basic cleanse ingredients and got tremendous results:
- 8hrs before bed no more solid food
- 4hrs before bed: 3/4 cup of Epsom salt water (1st)
- 2hrs before bed: 3/4 cup of Epsom salt water (2nd)
- BEDTIME: 1 cup grapefruit/olive oil mix
- WAKEUP: 3/4 cup of Epsom salt water (3rd)
- WAKE + 1HR: 3/4 cup of Epsom salt water (4th)
NOTES: times will vary, but I usually get movement within an hour; I found that the salt water drink was no big deal, especially if you follow it with a few swallows of plain water; I thought the grapefruit/olive oil mix wasn't bad tasting at all and although I did make it a point to chug quickly, I didn't need to plug the nose and there was no bad aftertaste; and as Scott has said, you will be fascinated with the results so do yourself a favor and get some rubber gloves and a glass jar.
See you after the next cleanse... |

A GREAT post, seethesign! I love it when people post in not only their results, but how they got them. I think this one in particular will motivate many people to try out a liver cleanse.
A couple of notes: many of the "stones" that people will see may only be globules of bile made visual by the oil drink. That's okay. Count it as a 'stone' since it's helping purge the liver and gall bladder of more than just actual hard little rocks or gravel. Second, that quote of "2000" was from Hulda's book, I think, and I don't know, personally, if it's a true number. Again, take it as more of a general sign of the direction to head, instead of a finish line.
As seethesign points out, what you're looking for is the signs of feeling better. That's the key. And the liver is central to so, so, SO many of our body's functions and the key to turning around many symptoms.
GREAT post!

Thanks for the tips and clarifications. How does one tell the difference between a true 'stone' (or other toxin) being passed and the 'bile balls'?
And since I'm going to 2010, I will be glad to count anything and everything...
Thanks for the support! |

| I have to book somewhere. But is that 3/4 cup of salt water, 3/4 of a cup of the salt added to water, or a total of 3/4 cup total of water with the salt? If it's total amount of water, how much salt do you put in? |

Jennay:
Epsom salt drink: mix 4 tablespoons in 3 cups of water. Makes 4 3/4 cup drinks.
Other "drink" is: 1/2 cup grapefruit juice (fresh!) & 1/2 extra virgin olive oil (shake well just before drinking)
Good luck!!

Cleanse #2 is complete. Grand total from 1st 2 cleanses: 185. (110 on 1st, 75 on 2nd).
And I must say, I always feel notably better in the days after the cleanse. I'll keep you posted on the long term improvements (skin, allergies, etc).
Let's clean those livers, people! |

Scott,
You made a great point about the "stones" that people often point to as evidence of clearing the liver. For anyone who has ever made old fashioned lye soap they will appreciate this: those stones are likely soap! When you make soap you need a fat source(olive oil) and a strong base (bile).
The diameter of the common bile duct is about 5mm so it is conceivable that actual stones smaller than 5mm could pass. Anything larger than that would not and in people with known gall stones doing a liver cleanse of this variety could cause an obstruction, which is a medical emergency.
That being said...I did a liver cleanse based on Dr. Clark's recommendations and did just fine. It took me a couple days to recover but other than that I was fine. Can't say that I noticed any significant improvements though. |
