Lately I've been breaking out in facial acne, for the first time in my life of 23 years. I first did the the cleanse a year and a half ago and experienced other symptoms associated with detoxing, but still no acne. After finishing, I incorporated a few pre-cleanse foods back into my diet like dark chocolate, organic sugar-less breakfast cereal, and dark beer, but still continue to eat cleanse food otherwise. My skin stayed relatively clear as it always has.
However, in the last couple of months, I've been getting increasingly bad acne and am wondering if it is because I started eating yogurt again. I don't touch any other dairy, but organic yogurt made only of milk and bacterial cultures doesn't bother my stomach at all and I love eating it. I started eating it again last spring, but the acne has only started recently. But could it be because of the yogurt, just a slow-to-surface reaction to it? Might switching to goat yogurt make a difference? Should I completely cut yogurt out? Just interested in other peoples' thoughts. Thanks! |

My only recommendation is to take yogurt out of your diet for several weeks and see if the acne goes away. I love Dr. Pepper to an almost addictive level and while I have no immediate symptoms, I know it's toxic, so I'm "making myself" quit to see what it's really doing to me.
Trial and error (i.e. experimentation) has been my most successful MO.
Good luck! |
