Colonic alternatives?

I want to do your cleanse for adult acne. I'm still struggling with the idea of colonics. Plus, they are difficult to get in the area where I live. Is there an alternatives to colonics that works well?

Most definitely. Do a search for "colema board" on this forum. It's a great home-based alternative.

Thank you for answering my question. I've been on vacation so I haven't had a chance to respond.

I've been researching colon cleanses -- especially for acne. Do you think herbal cleanses are as effective as colon irrigation and using a colema board? I understand that the colema board is gentler than the colon irrigation. Does this mean that it takes longer to cleanse the colon? One last question -- on your 21 cleanse, how often would you recommend using a colema or having a colonic?

Hi There,

I haven't tried colon hydrotherapy either (I live in a rural area, the nearest one is a two-hour plus drive). I do see a naturopath who practices Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She recommended coffee enemas to me. The coffee stimulates the liver to give up toxins it may be holding on to, and it seems to be pretty effective at cleaning out the lower bowel. It is supossed to help with detox and be helpful in general if you're dealing with an illness and want to get it moving along more quickly or if you may have injested something you're allergic to and want to get it moving out more quickly. I have to say that I enjoy the therapeutic nature of them and it's only really weird doing it the first few times, after that it's just another thing to do to help your cleansing along.

I haven't tried the colema board yet because I don't want to spend the money and I am not sure if I want a big bulky board thing resting against the wall in my small apartment which has very little storage space!

If you do try this, make sure you use organic coffee!

I have been thinking about trying enemas. Curezone.com has an article that says if done properly enemas can reach th entire colon. Sounds like your cleanse is going well -- hurrah!!!!

I have een dong cleanses for years and can never get anywhere because is seems that all moisture is absorbed out of my intestines back into my body (along with all the poisons). What causes this?

There are a lot of body cleansing methods around. I myself wanted to be in this kind of program before and when I got to try it I was relieved to know that it really works.

Body cleansing is indeed an effective method. But you must know whether or not you need it. To be sure, ask a medical counsel to check if you are in need. If they say you don't, then don't. There are other treatments that you can take alternatively that will surely help you gain the cleanliness you want through detox.

I'm speaking from experience. I used to not like these things, but I needed to that is why I tried it. Surprisingly, I loved it.
